Waves Audio has announced the availability of Atlas Reverb, a new algorithmic reverb plug-in intended for both studio and live applications. According to Waves, the plug-in draws inspiration from the sound of algorithmic reverbs popular in the 1980s.
Sound on Sound reports that Atlas Reverb is positioned as a flagship product, incorporating a completely redesigned algorithmic reverb engine. The software provides a selection of spaces, including rooms, chambers, plates, springs, and more experimental environments.
Users can explore a variety of sonic possibilities with over 100 original reverb programs, accessible through a built-in auditioning browser. The design emphasizes ease of use, featuring simplified controls to shape the reverb sound.
Atlas Reverb is now available for Windows 10 and later, as well as macOS 14 and newer, in VST3, AU, and AAX plug-in formats. The introductory price is set at $99.99, a reduction from its regular price of $149. The product is scheduled to launch on July 30, 2026.
