AEA has introduced a limited-edition pink version of its NUVO N8 ribbon microphone in partnership with Women’s Audio Mission.
The company announced the model for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. AEA will donate $100 from each sale to Susan G. Komen, according to the original announcement.
The microphone uses the same internal components and ribbon motor as the standard N8. The special edition changes the exterior finish to pink Cerakote and pairs it with white grille fabric.
AEA said the microphone was available while supplies lasted at the time of the release. The limited edition is a finish variation of an existing microphone rather than a new ribbon design.
The announcement appeared in the company’s October newsletter, alongside separate recording demonstrations and information about vintage microphone restoration. Those unrelated newsletter items are not part of the product introduction.
The pink N8 gives buyers a special-edition option within AEA’s NUVO range while supporting the donation initiative described by the manufacturer.
