Aria has commenced worldwide shipping of its Cliff Burton signature bass guitar, according to No Treble. The instrument pays homage to the SB-1000 bass favored by the late Metallica bassist, a model that played a significant role in shaping the sound of heavy music.
Reporting from No Treble indicates that the bass's construction features an ash body, a neck crafted from maple and walnut, and a rosewood fingerboard. The design incorporates a QHB-1 brass bridge and a BB Circuit, enhancing its tonal capabilities.
The bass’s headstock displays Burton’s signature, and it comes with a specially designed gig bag bearing his original signature. Production is limited to just 300 units globally, making it a collector’s item for enthusiasts.
With a 34” scale length and 24 frets, the bass is manufactured in Indonesia and is priced at $1,999.
