TWAUDiO reported that the summer carnival in the Niederrhein region featured a large roster of live performers drawn from the Cologne carnival tradition and the party‑schlager genre. Because the program emphasized both spoken elements and high‑energy music, the sound design prioritized clear speech intelligibility, robust musical impact, and uniform coverage throughout the crowd area.
To meet those goals, the production team selected a TW AUDiO VERA system as the primary loudspeaker array. The low‑frequency reinforcement relied on a comprehensive subwoofer network that incorporated B30, B21 and BSX units, creating a layered bass foundation.
The B30 cabinets were arranged in a gap‑cardioid configuration, while the combination of B30, B21 and BSX drivers operated together as a hybrid subwoofer array, delivering consistent output across the venue. This setup helped ensure that both dialogue and music could be heard clearly from any point in the audience.
