Bose Professional announced it has acquired Fulcrum Acoustic, a Massachusetts manufacturer of high‑performance loudspeakers, amplifiers and immersive audio systems.
Installation reported that Fulcrum will continue operating under its own name, with its product lineup, customer support, service and partner relationships remaining unchanged.
The purchase marks Bose Professional’s first acquisition since becoming an independent company after Transom Capital Group bought the business in 2023.
Founded in 2008 by Stephen Siegel, Dave Gunness and Chris Alfiero, Fulcrum builds speakers around a philosophy that treats digital signal processing as a core design element, offering roughly 130 products that include coaxial point‑source designs, patented Passive Cardioid Technology and its TQ processing platform.
Installation noted recent Fulcrum installations at Houston’s NRG Stadium and the Rose Bowl, and said the company hand‑builds its systems in Whitinsville, Massachusetts.
Bose Professional’s chief executive John Maier said the goal is to preserve what makes Fulcrum unique while using Bose’s scale, resources and global distribution network to accelerate growth.
Co‑founder Stephen Siegel said the partnership will let Fulcrum reach more customers faster without altering its engineering focus or customer service approach.
The deal adds nearly two decades of performance‑audio expertise to Bose’s portfolio and will coexist with Bose’s planned transition to the 802 LABS brand in February 2027, with Fulcrum remaining a distinct brand throughout the change.
