Bose announced an update to its QuietComfort headphones, Audioxpress reported. The refreshed 2nd‑generation model keeps the brand’s renowned noise cancellation and comfort while adding Bose TrueSpatial Technology.
According to Bose, the three listening modes—Still, Motion and Cinema—work as follows: Still Mode keeps audio anchored in the room as the listener moves; Motion Mode lets the sound follow head movements for on‑the‑go immersion; Cinema Mode spatializes and balances background effects to create a theater‑like experience with clear dialogue.
The headphones retain Bose’s drivers and proprietary SoundDesign digital signal processing and now support lossless wired USB‑C audio up to 24‑bit/48 kHz. A six‑microphone system helps maintain effective noise cancellation even when the ear‑cup seal isn’t perfect.
Available in Black, White Smoke and three limited‑edition colors—Eucalyptus Green, Dewdrop Mint and Rosewood Mauve—the QuietComfort 2nd‑Gen headphones retail for $359.
