Celestion has announced the availability of the CDX1-1413, a new high-frequency compression driver designed for a variety of professional audio applications. According to reporting by Pro Sound Web, the device utilizes a 1-inch exit and incorporates a neodymium magnet for efficient operation.
The CDX1-1413 builds upon the design of the CDX1-1412, featuring a threaded mounting option for enhanced integration into systems. Its construction includes a 1.38-inch screw-thread fitting, facilitating straightforward installation. Pro Sound Web details that the driver's diameter is 2.4 inches and its weight is 0.9 pounds.
The new driver is engineered to deliver 70 watts of continuous power handling, with an AES standard of 35 watts. It exhibits a sensitivity of 107 dB and a frequency response spanning from 1,500 to 20,000 Hz. A suggested crossover frequency of 2,000 Hz is provided for optimal performance.
