The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (CRAS) recently held a Grad Panel event on July 10, 2026, offering insights from former students to prospective audio engineers. According to Recording Magazine, the panel showcased the diverse career paths available to graduates of the program.

Three CRAS alumni participated in the event, sharing their experiences and answering questions from the audience. Joseph Colmenero’s expertise lies in audio engineering alongside studio systems specialization. Elix Ceballos concentrates his work in the area of video game sound design, while Joe Asselin provides both studio recording and live sound services.

CRAS, with locations in both Gilbert and Tempe, Arizona, provides focused education in various audio disciplines, including broadcast, live sound, and music audio. The curriculum includes an extensive 280-hour industry internship, designed to give students practical experience. Students also gain familiarity with industry-standard tools like Pro Tools and SSL AWS consoles.

The 11-month program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the audio industry.
