dBTechnologies has introduced the Opera Nona 210 and 212 active loudspeakers, expanding its Opera family with artist-focused models designed and manufactured in Italy specifically for the U.S. market. According to a report by fohonline.com, these dual-woofer, coaxial quasi-three-way systems target musicians, DJs, and portable PA users by offering direct microphone and instrument connectivity without requiring an external mixer. Each cabinet includes two balanced combo inputs and an XLR output that can carry a direct link or complete onboard mix, allowing performers to connect sources directly and feed a second loudspeaker.
The acoustic design pairs two low-frequency drivers with a true coaxial high-frequency section, creating a quasi-three-way configuration that provides increased low-frequency radiating surface compared to single-woofer setups while maintaining compact footprints. Linear-phase FIR processing runs at 24-bit resolution, and an eight-position rotary DSP control offers seven application presets, including specific voicings for floor-monitor and main-speaker roles. The polypropylene enclosure supports multiple floor-monitor positions and includes integrated handles for transport. Optional brackets allow for horizontal or vertical mounting in various venues.
