IK Multimedia has made a public beta version of its TONEX 2.0 Player accessible, according to a company announcement. The software update is currently available to all existing TONEX users, offering an early opportunity to test new features and provide feedback.
According to Music Instrument News, the updated player boasts a collection of up to 220 new Premium V2 Tone Models, expanding the available sound library. The company’s reporting indicates a refreshed user interface, highlighted by a completely redesigned Home page.
New functionalities incorporated into the player include Smart Search, designed to simplify the process of locating desired content. Furthermore, the software now features ToneNET, a system for managing and sharing tones.
The final version of TONEX 2.0 Player is slated for release on August 6, 2026, and current TONEX users will be able to obtain it at no additional cost.
