A newly developed immersive experience has debuted at Königstein Fortress, located in the Saxony region of Germany. The attraction transports visitors back in time to recreate a historical military assault. According to MONDO-DR, the technical aspects of the project were handled by Whitebox GmbH.
ZEN Audio Engineering and Soundlike Großbeschallungstechnik worked together to design the audio system for the experience. Several companies contributed to the project’s technical solutions, including ProAudio Technology GmbH, Hoellstern GmbH, and Xcite Audio. MONDO-DR reports that the experience incorporates visual elements, audio cues, and physical sensations to heighten the realism.
The audio component utilizes a multi-channel loudspeaker system created by ProAudio Technology GmbH. This system features MT10 and MT5.2 speakers, alongside an SW12 subwoofer. Amplification for the system is supplied by ProAudio Technology system amplifiers manufactured by Hoellstern. Additionally, Xcite Audio supplied a system designed to transmit sound through structures.
The Königstein Fortress itself boasts a history spanning more than eight centuries. The new attraction provides a fresh way for visitors to engage with the fortress's rich past.
