Patchwerks, a Seattle-based retailer specializing in all things synths recently hosted their second annual Seattle Synth Meet and Petting Zoo at the Melrose Market Studios in the popular Capitol Hill neighborhood.
With over 500 synth enthusiast in attendance, the Korg display was a main attraction allowing attendees to get hands on with several of Korg’s most popular synths; Arp Odyssey, minilogue, the new volca FM and other volcas, littleBits synth kits, as well as SQ1 and monotrons.
Korg product specialist David Barker and Korg USA District sales manager for the Northwest Territory Kyle Taylor, were both on hand to demo products and answer any questions as musicians hooked up headphones and explored the extensive features and sounds that Korg has to offer. Barker performed a 45-minute interactive demonstration of Korg’s line of synths.
“Being tapped into the synth community is very important to Korg and being a part of the Patchwerks Synth Meet was a smash success for us. Capitol Hill is Seattle’s most popular neighborhood and a hub for artists, musicians, and creative types,” shared Taylor. “There was a constant line of people at the Korg exhibit waiting to check out our gear. The minilogue and volca line remain insanely popular and it was great to hear numerous attendees expressing how much they appreciate that Korg is leading the charge for affordable analog products.”
