KRK has launched the V Series Five, the fifth generation of its flagship professional reference monitor line. This new release introduces wireless control capabilities and advanced acoustic tuning tools designed for modern production environments. According to AVNetwork, the series combines the brand’s established accuracy with KRK Mesh technology, allowing engineers to manage settings wirelessly through the KRK Control App. This system enables users to adjust EQ profiles, levels, and performance optimizations from a mobile device without physically accessing the speakers.

AVNetwork reports that the monitors feature custom transducers, including woofers made from woven Kevlar housed in cast aluminum frames and a one-inch silk dome tweeter for detailed high-frequency reproduction. The internal electronics platform utilizes ESS converters and Pascal Class D amplifier modules to provide substantial power to both the low-frequency and high-frequency drivers. For room optimization, the series offers 49 preset Boundary EQ combinations and seven parametric PRO EQ filters, with storage for three user presets.

The lineup includes three models: the compact V4 with a four-inch woofer, the V6 with a 6.5-inch driver, and the V8 featuring an eight-inch woofer for demanding mastering environments. Additional features cited by AVNetwork include Neutrik combo connectivity, support for analog and AES3 digital inputs, and an illuminated power logo.
