KRK has launched its V Series Five Studio Monitors, the fifth generation of its professional reference monitor line. The series adds wireless control and acoustic tuning tools for recording, mixing and immersive-audio applications.
KRK Mesh technology allows the monitors to be controlled through the KRK Control App. Users can adjust system settings, compare EQ profiles, manage levels and optimize performance from a mobile device. Monitors can be controlled individually or in groups in stereo and Dolby Atmos systems.

The monitors use woven Kevlar woofers in cast aluminum frames, one-inch silk-dome tweeters and integrated waveguides. Their electronics include ESS converters, Analog Devices digital signal processors and Pascal Class D amplifier modules. Each monitor supplies 280 watts to its low-frequency driver and 175 watts to its high-frequency driver.
The system provides 49 preset Boundary EQ combinations, seven fully parametric PRO EQ filters and storage for three user presets. Additional features include front-ported bass-reflex enclosures, Neutrik combo XLR/TRS connections, analog and AES3 digital inputs, standby and ground-lift controls, adjustable input sensitivity, removable protective grilles and integrated mounting points.
The V4 has a four-inch woofer, a stated frequency response of 48 Hz to 40 kHz and a maximum output of 113 dB SPL. The V6 uses a 6.5-inch woofer, extends to 40 Hz and reaches 118 dB SPL. The V8 has an eight-inch woofer, extends to 32 Hz and reaches 121 dB SPL.
