The Antuoshan Public Cultural Center, a new expansive complex in Shenzhen, China, recently opened its doors, marking a significant addition to the Futian District’s cultural landscape. The facility, spanning over 100,000 square meters, features a variety of performance areas including a grand theatre with seating for 1,000 and a concert hall designed for 500 attendees. Racpro handled the integration of the audio systems throughout the center.
According to Pro AVL Asia, the grand theatre utilizes an L-Acoustics L-ISA immersive sound system, comprising A15i, X8, and X12 loudspeakers. The system’s configuration provides a unique and enveloping audio experience for audiences. The concert hall, intended for chamber music and innovative contemporary performances, features a more subtle Kiva II system, complemented by SB15m subwoofers.
The Antuoshan Public Cultural Center represents Shenzhen’s first large-scale cultural complex. The center’s design incorporates multiple performance spaces, catering to diverse artistic expressions. The opening night festivities included a performance by acclaimed pianist Lang Lang.
The concert hall’s acoustic tuning is specifically tailored to suit the nuances of chamber music and to support experimental musical endeavors.
