Magnatone has launched a new Point-to-Point Collection highlighted by the Varsity Reverb amplifier, a limited-edition model restricted to 50 units worldwide. According to a news release from Magnatone, this hand-built amplifier replaces the Traditional Collection version and features vintage styling with true point-to-point wiring crafted by master builders in the United States. Each unit is meticulously constructed in small batches to ensure exceptional build quality.

Obeid Khan, Magnatone’s chief engineer, stated that while all company amplifiers are hand-built domestically, this specific model represents a return to old-school craftsmanship and artistry. The release notes the 15-watt Class A unit delivers clarity and touch sensitivity using two 12AX7 pre-amp tubes, one 12DW7 tube, two EL84 power tubes, and a GZ34 rectifier. Additional specifications include a custom 12-inch ceramic magnet speaker, footswitchable tube-driven reverb with four springs, high and low sensitivity inputs, and a feedback boost switch.

Ted Kornblum, president and CEO of Magnatone, emphasized that quality and attention to detail have reached new heights with this design. The amplifier, available in Cathedral Black or Cathedral Burgundy covering with a hand-tooled saddle-leather handle, carries a minimum advertised price of $3,299. The company indicated quantities are strictly limited and directed interested parties to authorized dealers for purchase. Attendees at the 2026 NAMM Show were invited to visit Booth #5237 in Hall D for additional information regarding this exclusive collection.
