Mahindra University has completed a significant upgrade to its Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, according to reporting by *Front of House* magazine. The auditorium, situated in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, now features a modern sound system designed to enhance the experience for its large audience.
Sonics took charge of the system’s design and technical specifications, while CMPPL handled the physical installation. The new audio setup incorporates Renkus-Heinz CX151B, CX61B, and DRS18-2B loudspeakers, intended to deliver superior sound quality. The auditorium accommodates a seating capacity of 1,100 people.
The project’s objective was to provide clearer voice reinforcement for lectures and presentations, as well as support for a broader range of events. Engineers prioritized acoustic containment during the design process, ensuring optimal sound distribution within the space. The updated system leverages Dante technology for streamlined control.
The improvements allow the university to better support teaching activities, presentations, and various types of event production. The new system offers a substantial improvement in audio capabilities for the university community.
