McGrath Guitars announced that its 12‑Way Rotary Pickup Selector and Tilt EQ preamp now come with a dedicated mobile application, expanding the instrument’s tonal flexibility. The company highlighted that the app pairs directly with the selector hardware, allowing players to fine‑tune their sound on the go.
The new software lets users program fewer than twelve switch positions, but each can be linked to any of fourteen distinct tonal options. Ray Salamon, who developed the app, incorporated features such as knob damping for smoother control, an automatic shut‑off to conserve battery life, and the ability to import or export presets for quick sharing.
According to the release, the application is compatible with every McGrath 12‑Way Rotary Pickup Selector on the market and can be downloaded from the brand’s website. Technical setup instructions and documentation are hosted on GitHub, and the product is also listed on McGrath’s Bass Builder platform. Full preset import and export functions, along with the auto shut‑off feature, are supported across all devices.
