Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt is collaborating with Reverb to offer a wide array of instruments, amplifiers, stage equipment, and apparel from his personal collection, according to No Treble. The online shop will feature items accumulated over more than three decades of his career.
The Official Mike Dirnt Reverb Shop is scheduled to begin operations on September 9. Prior to the launch, The Bass Nerds partnered with Reverb to examine a selection of Dirnt’s instruments and test their functionality.
The collection spans Green Day’s formative years and includes equipment associated with albums and tours like *Dookie*, *Nimrod*, and *American Idiot*. Highlights include two Mike Dirnt Signature Precision Basses utilized during the *American Idiot* tour, a signed Fender bass from the *Nimrod* recording sessions, and a 1962 Fender Precision Bass. Some items possess unique histories, including basses damaged onstage during past tours when drummer Tré Cool ignited his drum set.
