The 15th annual Milkshake Festival recently occurred in Amsterdam's Westerpark, showcasing a diverse lineup across eight outdoor stages and a single indoor space. JUR provided sound reinforcement using Alcons Audio loudspeakers and subwoofers to ensure optimal audio quality throughout the event.
Maintaining control over low frequencies was a key consideration due to the proximity of residential areas. To address this, 44 Alcons BC543 subwoofers were strategically utilized to direct sound toward the listening areas. The setup included LR15, LR18, LR24, and LR28 line array loudspeakers, alongside LR18B, BF181, BF362, BC543, and BQ211 subwoofers for enhanced bass reproduction.
Event Acoustics conducted environmental sound measurements to monitor and manage the audio output. The deployment involved 344 channels of Alcons ALC amplified loudspeaker controllers, with additional equipment sourced from members of The Ribbon Network. Notably, only four noise complaints were received during the festival’s duration.
US Productions oversaw coordination of production partners and services, while The Good Guys managed the overall festival production. Alcons WR20 stage monitors were also implemented for DJs performing in two different areas.
