M&W Pro Audio has appointed Jay Schlabs chief revenue officer as the company prepares to introduce its first generation of products.

Schlabs brings more than two decades of experience in professional audio, global sales strategy, channel development and consumer products. He began his professional audio career at Mackie Designs, where he served as national sales manager.

Schlabs later joined inMusic Brands as executive director of sales and spent 13 years leading global sales and marketing efforts across several professional audio brands. Most recently, he was senior director of e-commerce at PetSafe Brands, where he led the company’s e-commerce strategy and digital growth initiatives for nine years.

“M&W Pro Audio is being built by some of the most respected names in the industry, and the opportunity to help shape a new company from the ground up is incredibly compelling,” Schlabs said. “Greg, Peter and the entire team share a vision for developing innovative solutions that address real-world challenges for audio professionals.”

Schlabs said he will focus on customer, channel partner and distributor relationships as M&W Pro Audio enters the market.

“I’ve known Jay for years and have always been impressed by both his leadership abilities and his business acumen,” M&W Pro Audio co-founder Greg Mackie said. “He brings a unique combination of strategic vision, operational discipline and industry experience that will be invaluable as we continue building M&W Pro Audio.”

Mackie and Peter Watts founded M&W Pro Audio in 2022. The company is developing professional audio products that combine sound quality with touch-screen interfaces and software-based feature updates.
