A new multipurpose facility situated close to Girona, in Catalonia, Spain, has implemented a sound reinforcement system featuring NEXO loudspeakers. According to Installation International, the venue's design incorporates a range of functions, including speech delivery, theatrical performances, and concerts requiring high sound pressure levels.
Installation specialists BTM Sound handled the installation, working with NEXO’s Spanish distributor, Soundmeans. The project’s requirements involved fulfilling a demanding set of specifications while adhering to budgetary constraints.
The audio solution utilizes NEXO P18 loudspeakers and L18 subwoofers arranged in a coaxial design. The low-profile nature of the venue, with a ceiling height of just 6 meters, influenced the system’s configuration. To enhance the low-frequency response, the L18 subwoofers are suspended alongside the P18 speakers. A NEXO NXAMP4X2 Mk2 amplifier manages the system’s processing.
Future plans include the addition of a front-fill system to further improve audio coverage throughout the space. The design prioritized minimizing the system’s visual presence and guaranteeing proper phase consistency.
