PRS Guitars announced the SE Ed Sheeran Cosmic Splash Limited Edition guitar. Designed in collaboration with Ed Sheeran, the SE Hollowbody I Piezo Baritone model marries Sheeran’s passion for songwriting with his offstage love of painting. The model features the exact design from one of Sheeran’s 2025 Cosmic Carpark paintings, a series of original artworks sold last year to raise funds for the Ed Sheeran Foundation.
Only 1,000 pieces will be available worldwide. This is the first PRS collaboration with Sheeran available for purchase. It is also the first-ever hollowbody baritone in the PRS catalog. Every guitar ships with an 8-by-8-inch print of the same Cosmic Carpark painting on the body, hand signed by Sheeran.
The fretboard inlay nods to the musician’s Stereo album series, including Play, Pause, Rewind, Fast-Forward and Stop. The Play icon is featured on the truss rod cover.
Istarted painting as a way to stay creative when Iam off the road, Sheeran said. Ioften say keep the faucet running when it comes to songwriting. It is so important to stay in a creative headspace to get to the really good stuff. My hope is that people find this instrument as inspiring as Ido. To have my artwork on it as well is such a treat.
The SE Hollowbody Iguitar features the PRS/LR Baggs Piezo system, 85/15 Spickups and a 27.7-inch baritone scale length. Players can isolate or blend the piezo acoustic voice with electric power. The slimmer, contoured flatback design melds the back design of an electric guitar with the rich, open tone and airy acoustic depth of a hollowbody.
This is not the first time PRS has worked with Sheeran. Last summer, the collaboration led to a one-off SE Hollowbody Baritone custom painted and featured in the video for Sheeran’s song Drive, written for the Apple Original Films blockbuster F1: The Movie. Sheeran has played PRS electric guitars since 2018.
