PRS Guitars has launched a special run of Custom 24 “Birds of a Feather” guitars, according to Music Instrument News. This limited edition instrument joins the company’s Core series, signifying its place within the brand's established lineup.
The manufacturer is producing only 350 of these guitars for distribution globally. The design incorporates a distinctive “Birds of a Feather” inlay, marking a decade since its initial creation. Paul Miles is credited with the inlay's original design.
The instruments are offered in three finishes: Blood Red, Charcoal Microburst, and Honey Gold. Construction includes a figured maple top paired with a mahogany back, and a 25” scale length. The guitars also utilize PRS DMO pickups, a Pattern Thin mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard.
Additional features on the Custom 24 “Birds of a Feather” include PRS Phase III locking tuners and a Gen III tremolo system. PRS Guitars began operations in 1985.
