Reverend Guitars has launched the Billy Corgan Infinite Sadness models, a limited-run series timed for the Smashing Pumpkins Rat In A Cage Tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. According to Premier Guitar, production is capped at 60 units total, split between 36 Z-One standard models and 24 Drop Z extended-scale guitars. Both feature Black Sparkle finishes, ebony fretboards, and a Mellon Collie moon graphic on the body. Each instrument ships in a two-tone soft case containing a Certificate of Authenticity and a special edition poster titled Mellon Collie Moon.

The Z-One model utilizes an alder body and Railhammer pickups with custom etched artwork, carrying a street price of $1,899. This release marks the third signature collaboration between Corgan and Joe Naylor. The Drop Z variant combines similar aesthetics with a 26.25-inch scale neck designed specifically for drop tunings to maintain string tension and lists for $1,999. The source notes that Corgan played this guitar during the band’s summer 2026 Lollapalooza performance. The Z-One is inspired by heavier songs in the catalog, while the longer scale of the Drop Z ensures deep, full tones remain punchy and clear when down-tuned.
