Smart Audio Plugins has entered the music products market with the release of Timbral Box, a new parallel harmonic processing plugin designed for mixing and mastering applications. According to Monthly Mixing, the software distinguishes itself by operating every section in parallel, leaving the original signal untouched while adding harmonics to enhance presence and rebalance the spectrum without compromising transients or punch.

The manufacturer equipped the Bass, Mid, and High processors with individual Shape controls and two saturation modes each. Monthly Mixing reports that the bass center frequencies adhere to the Fibonacci sequence, while the summing stage features circuitry modeled on two 1970s transformers. The tool also includes a parallel compressor with Movement and Release controls.

Distribution channels now offer the plugin in 64-bit VST3, AU, and AAX formats compatible with macOS 10.15 or later and Windows 10 or later systems. Retail pricing is set at $80, though an introductory offer of $56 is available through September 30, per Monthly Mixing. A 14-day free trial is also being offered to potential customers evaluating the new technology for their production workflows.
