Sonuscore announced The Sculpture, a sample library created from recordings of a single hand‑built metal sound sculpture—one of roughly ten such objects worldwide, according to Sound on Sound. The library captures every tone directly from the sculpture using four microphone positions and presents them as two distinct Kontakt instruments.

The Single instrument provides raw access to the original recordings, while the Engine instrument layers five voices—including two freely playable, two arpeggiators and one granular voice—plus dedicated effects slots, allowing users to craft evolving soundscapes.

According to the company, the sculpture’s large upper and lower plates emit a synth‑like ring when struck, and its thin connecting rods reveal fine granular detail when bowed. Sonuscore recorded these sounds by striking the plates and playing the rods with bows and mallets.

Targeted at film composers, game composers and sound designers, the library is described as suited for modern and contemporary scoring, atmospheric game environments, horror and tension work, and for those seeking organic metallic, textural and granular tones.

The instruments run in Native Instruments Kontakt Player version 7.10.9 or later on Windows 10+ and macOS 13+, with VST3, AU and AAX formats available. The Sculpture is on sale now for $79/£59 (regular $99/£69) through August 18, 2026, VAT included.
