Sound Radix has introduced Radical1 Solo, a standalone application designed to offer a simplified experience based on the company’s flagship Radical1 software. According to Sound Radix, the new release goes beyond being a trial version, presenting itself as a capable instrument for sound creation.
Music production website Sound On Sound reported that Radical1 Solo incorporates the same foundational components as the original, including its oscillators, filters, effects, and modulation system. Its straightforward, single-layer interface is particularly suited for crafting basslines, melodic leads, and sequenced patterns.
Users can transfer sounds developed within Radical1 Solo to the full Radical1 environment, which allows for further refinement and expansion using the software’s advanced features and additional voices. The complete Radical1 software has also received a recent update, introducing enhancements such as a searchable browser and improved modulation capabilities.
Radical1 Solo’s system requirements include PCs utilizing Windows 10 or a later version, and Macs operating on macOS 10.14 or a newer operating system.
