Solid State Logic has unveiled the Odyssey, a new analog console designed to merge traditional workflows with modern capabilities. According to Música & Mercado, the console incorporates a system for immediate restoration of previous settings.
The new console integrates analog signal paths with digital automation features, providing users with a flexible production environment. Música & Mercado reports that the Odyssey can be configured to handle up to 96 channels plus eight auxiliary channels.
SSL’s ActiveAnalogue technology is central to the console's design, and each channel incorporates a PureDrive preamp alongside EQ options drawn from SSL’s E and G series. The console’s architecture also includes several buses intended for both recording and monitoring applications, alongside support for immersive Dolby Atmos production. Música & Mercado confirms these features.
The Odyssey is presently offered in three distinct configurations: standard, ProStation, and custom-built options, accommodating varied studio layouts and production needs. Alongside the console’s release, SSL also announced version 2.0 of its O Series platform. Música & Mercado details these offerings.
