Solid State Logic has announced the arrival of its newest console, the Odyssey, marking a significant addition to their product line. According to Sound on Sound, the system incorporates ActiveAnalogue technology, representing a fresh approach to console design.
Reportedly, the Odyssey builds upon the foundation established by the Oracle console, incorporating several enhancements and refinements. The new console can be configured with channel counts ranging from 24+8 up to a substantial 96+8, providing flexibility for diverse studio environments.
Engineers will appreciate the console’s ability to instantly recall all settings and routing, streamlining workflows and ensuring consistency across projects. Each channel features PureDrive preamplifiers, complemented by a Drive control, and offers switchable equalization options drawn from SSL’s E and G Series. The system also supports immersive monitoring setups and allows for remote processing rack housing of the analogue circuitry.
Further simplifying operation, O-Control software provides management of sessions and configurations, and projects initiated on an Odyssey console can be opened within an Oracle console.
