Same Sky, formerly CUI Devices, and its Audio Group have unveiled speaker prototyping test enclosures designed to facilitate performance assessment of miniature speakers. According to audioXpress, these enclosures provide a regulated rear volume, a common necessity for optimal miniature speaker operation.
The new enclosures resolve a challenge encountered when evaluating miniature speakers that require approximately 1cc of rear volume, as testing without an enclosure can obscure their intended performance. The enclosures offer an acoustic cavity of around 1cc to enable simplified testing and evaluation.
Initially supporting rectangular frame sizes of 15x11mm, 16x9mm, and 18x13mm, the enclosures, designated BOX-1511-1CC, BOX-1609-1CC, and BOX-1813-1CC, are presently accessible, beginning at $1 each. OEM pricing is obtainable through inquiry, with availability contingent on order quantities.
