TW AUDiO has introduced a new feature designed to confirm the legitimacy of its loudspeaker products. According to company representatives, all current models now incorporate a small, embedded NFC chip. This technology allows for immediate verification of a loudspeaker’s authenticity using a smartphone. The announcement was made earlier this week.

Using a smartphone’s NFC capability, users can quickly check a loudspeaker's status without needing a dedicated application. The process involves simply activating NFC on the phone and holding it near the chip, which is typically located close to the connection panel. If the verification is successful, product information appears on the phone’s screen.

TW AUDiO emphasizes the importance of authentication, as counterfeit loudspeakers lack warranties, support, and genuine replacement parts. Moreover, unauthorized copies may not meet required safety standards, particularly concerning installations above crowds. The company’s original products adhere to strict safety protocols and are backed by a five-year warranty and ongoing updates.

The verification process utilizes a patented algorithm intended to prevent unauthorized duplication. The chips have been integrated into loudspeakers since January 2024.
