Highly respected band director Richard Canter has joined the esteemed roster of KHS America Academic Alliance affiliated educators, representing Jupiter Band Instruments and the entire family of KHS educational brands. Richard currently serves as the band director at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he leads the beginning band, junior high bands, the Marching Blue & Gold, and the Wind Ensemble. In addition, he is the conductor of the Cincinnati Junior Youth Wind Ensemble at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music.
Throughout his illustrious career, Richard has been dedicated to empowering students to reach their highest musical potential. He is the creator of the acclaimed Scale & Rhythm Chunks program, an innovative teaching tool widely adopted by bands across the United States and internationally.
