Taking place on January 21 from 1-5pm at ADJ’s global headquarters in California, the open day will showcase the range of new products to be launched at NAMM 2015, which will run from January 22-25. The event will also give visitors a second chance to experience the ADJ products displayed at the recent LDI show, such as the compact Inno Pocket Wash and pixel-mappable Illusion Dotz 3.3 as well as the customizable 6-in-1 hex color effects offered by the 12P Hex.

The Disneyland Band will officially open the 2015 NAMM Show, with a beloved American icon serving as guest conductor for this rousing musical performance.

Yamaha has appointed Dave Gerhart as product manager for the company’s Percussion Department, Band & Orchestral Division. He will report to Troy Wollwage, marketing manager, Percussion Instruments.

 “Dave brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and education to this position,” said Garth Gilman, general manager, Band & Orchestral Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. “As a music educator and performer, his background helps Yamaha further the goal of spreading the joys and benefits of music education and gives him the ability to talk shop with the most knowledgeable percussionists.”

US Music Corp. has hired Jonathan Lee as director of product design and development for guitars. Lee has more than 20 years of experience as a luthier of high quality acoustic guitars, combined with expertise of creating production facilities to manufacture acoustic guitars.

Design Oasis has called on six Geyser RGB foggers from CHAUVET DJ to add some extra drama and excitement to this year’s halftime performance, which featured Grammy-winning country superstars Little Big Town. The foggers, which shoot red, green and blue shafts of LED light through a voluminous column of white water-based fog, played a key role in LD Abas Ritscher’s stunning halftime lightshow.

KHS America, Inc. has announced plans to acquire Hohner Inc. from Matth. Hohner GmbH in Trossingen, Germany.  Hohner, Inc. is the exclusive North American provider of Hohner branded Harmonicas, Accordians, Melodicas, Guitars and Bluegrass Instruments; SONOR Drums and Orff Instruments, Lanikai and Kohala Ukuleles, H. Jimenez Guitars, Hohner Airboard, as well as Hohner Kids and Greentones children’s instrument brands.  Transfer of ownership will take place today, January 12, 2015.

In response to these infringing acts, Sweetwater has increased its efforts to defend itself and its intellectual property rights.
